How To Measure Your Ring Size
There are a few different methods you can use to find out your perfect ring size. If you already own a ring in the correct size, you can physically measure it or compare it against our printable ring size guide with an Australian friendly letter system. If not, you can measure your finger to determine your size. Discover how to measure your ring size below.
Method 1: Measure an Existing Ring
If you already own a ring that fits perfectly on the intended finger, you can use its dimensions to find your size.
- Select a ring that fits comfortably on the exact finger you want to measure.
- Place the ring over a ruler or measuring tape featuring millimetre (mm) increments.
- Measure the inner diameter of the band in a straight line across the widest point. Do not include the metal of the ring itself—only measure the open space inside.
- Compare your millimetre measurement against our conversion chart below to find your corresponding Australian letter size.
Method 2: Measure Your Finger
If you do not have a reference ring, you can measure the circumference (the distance around) your finger directly.
- Cut a thin strip of paper or a piece of non-stretching string to about 10cm in length.
- Wrap it comfortably around the base of the intended finger. Ensure it sits snugly but can still slide over your knuckle.
- Use a fine-tip pen to mark the exact point where the paper or string overlaps.
- Lay the strip flat against a ruler and measure the length from the starting edge to your pen mark in millimetres (mm). This gives you your finger’s circumference, which you can check against the size chart.
Expert Tips for Accurate Sizing
- Watch the Temperature: Fingers naturally swell in warmer weather and shrink when exposed to the cold. For the most accurate reading, measure your finger at the end of the day when your hands are warm.
- When in Doubt, Size Up: If your measurement falls between two sizes on our chart, we always recommend opting for the larger size to guarantee a comfortable fit.
- Measure the Exact Finger: Your dominant hand is often slightly larger than your non-dominant hand, and individual fingers vary significantly. Always measure the specific finger where the ring will be worn.

Alternatively, close family members or friends might already know their size. Always prioritize styles that are eligible for adjustments if you are unsure.
Can all rings be resized?
Resizing feasibility depends entirely on the design and choice of metal. Traditional precious metals like gold, white gold, platinum, and sterling silver can generally be adjusted by a couple of sizes. However, contemporary hard metals like tungsten or titanium cannot be resized. Additionally, full eternity bands (where diamonds or gemstones wrap entirely around the band) cannot be adjusted without disrupting the stone settings. We highly recommend consulting with us prior to ordering if you anticipate needing a size change.
Can all rings be resized?
A proper fit should be snug enough that it won’t easily slide off or spin around on your finger, yet loose enough to comfortably glide over your knuckle with minor resistance when removing it.
